The use of mobile devices for dental photography is a relatively new development in routine clinical practice with potentially significant benefits for the dentist. The first step toward achieving success in photographic records and establishing this method as the baseline in dental photography is to be aware of the limitations of smartphones and to seek compensation for them. The talk aims to show how proper lighting can be used in this new modality.
